Proton e.MAS is a joint collaboration with Geely

The Proton e.MAS brand signifies Proton's dedicated move into the electric vehicle market, and a cornerstone of this initiative is our strong collaboration with Geely. Leveraging Geely's advanced Global Modular Architecture (GMA) platform and electric vehicle technology, Proton is developing the e.MAS series to provide drivers with cutting-edge, sustainable mobility solutions.

Powering A New Era
PROTON took the next step in its evolution as a vehicle manufacturer with the official unveiling of its new EV sub-brand. To be deployed on future EV (electric vehicle) models, the new brand will be known as e.MAS.

The PROTON Satria Neo, a replacement for the first generation Satria using a new platform developed in-house by PROTON was launched.

A Royal Debut
PROTON Saga made its public debut at the British International Motorshow. PROTON won three Prestigious awards (two golds and one silver) for quality coachwork and ergonomics.

A New Saga
Prime Minister, Dato Seri Dr. Mahathir Mohamad officially launched the PROTON Saga, the first Malaysian car.

Work on the National Car Project begins
The Cabinet Ministers of Malaysia approved the National Car Project.
